CCSF Fall 2015 RN program

To all who applied to CCSF Fall 2015 program, I decided to start this thread so we can keep each other updated on any news, and answer each other questions as they come.

I'm hoping they'll post their lottery results soon. Has anyone heard anything yet?

Thanks

Someone told me the applicants reached to over 700.

They don't post the list but you can somehow walk in and find out your number at the nursing department. I wonder why do they take so long although the application deadline was Feb. 20!

Really? If you ask they would give you your lottery number? That's interesting...

But I agree... 700 is a crazy number!!! I'm sure a handful of them might not be qualified, but it is still a lot...

It's all about luck at this point...

Who said it was 700? Was that said by the nursing department?

I can't say the name. It is not ethical to publish it. A friend of mind who live locally voluntarily went to the department and found out about the applicant list. But, what I could say is; he or she was on 800s on first try, 500s on second try and 120s on third try which finally got into the program. Yes, I agree with a matter of luck as well qualifications.

I wouldn't expect you to say the name that's why I asked if you heard it directly from the nursing department.

@brandie8918. The information was not given to me directly from the department. But, a friend of mind went to see at the department. I hope this answer your question.

I found out in person that 387 people applied. I went to the campus to see what number I am in the lottery, unfortunately I am in the 200's. It was my 3rd time applying, I will apply again next semester. Good luck to you all.

Thanks for your post that's a far better number of applicants than 700!! If I called them do you think they will tell me?

Can you explain what the lottery number means?
