CCRN prep - Laura Gasparis review worth it?

I'm taking my CCRN in November and have already bought the AACN review question book along with the PASS CRRN book. I was wondering if anyone who has taken the CCRN in the past year or so would also recommend the CCRN review DVD's from Laura Gasparis? If so, did her review really help you study and prepare?

I highly recommend the AACN review course available for purchase on their website. I know it prepared me to pass the CCRN exam!!

Thanks Rnfolk! Are you referring to the online AACN review course that's offered when you sign up for the CCRN? Did you use any other resources like questions from Pass CCRN, etc...?

All I did to study was watch Laura Gasparis' videos and do questions from Pass CCRN and a light review of cardiac/neuro/immune system. I watched the videos 1 time through taking diligent notes then listened to them at the gym/in the car and reviewed my notes periodically while doing practice exams from Pass CCRN. I did that for about a month and passed :)

I took the CCRN exam on Friday and passed, I had studied for about two weeks by doing the online CCRN review and watching the Laura Gasparis DVD's. I recommend you ask someone on the unit to borrow them, I did not find them extremely helpful but funny as all hell, which helped me remember little things. I took the AACN practice CCRN exam that was 60 questions and passed with an 85%, so I felt prepared enough to take it.

Honestly, the exam was not that bad, if you think about what is going on and what the patient should look like you will be fine. Best of Luck!

Most definately worth it AND you will not be disappointed! I try and get to a seminar yearly just to see her, besides of all the knowledge! You will laugh and learn at her seminars. Almost guaranteed to pass!
