Can I take CCRN exam as per the regulations of the board that conducts this exam. I am a new grad and has only few months of work experience till now. Are there any ways to get around with getting few(two) years of experience before I take the test of CCRN??? Help me please. I can study hard if there is a way to get around with this.

CCRN means something. It means your nursing care "reflects an integration of knowledge, skills, experience and attitudes necessary to meet the needs of patients and families." Getting around the rules is not one of the desired qualities. This is the wrong gestalt. What are you thinking?

How would you reply to a person who asks if there is a way to get around the clinical hours required to sit for nursing boards?

CCRN requires a minimum of 1750 hours of bedside nursing care. This does not equate to two years....it's more like ten months. I got my nursing license in June 2003, and took the CCRN the following summer, approx 12 months. Believe me, although it is a straightforward exam, you do need the experience to be able to pass it. If you really want to take it earlier than ten months, start working some overtime.

you can study all you want, but really a good solid year's experience is needed to 'put it all together.'

I took it at 1.5 yrs. I studied my butt off and it was a perfect time to take it because I was a point to assimilate what I was seeing at work. 119/125!
