Ccri Nursing acceptance fall 2013

U.S.A. Rhode Island

Published

So i went to Crri on Feb 1 at around 9:00am to summit my application for the fall semester, this will be my second time, hopefully i get in!!! How many times did you applied before getting in?

Glad someone called today to check on all of our worries.... a big thanks from all of us. They pulled my degree eval again today, @ 5:20pm. While my application status still says incomplete, they have started entering my classes and grades in the requirements section, which wasn't there as of Friday, so I guess progress is good!! However, my GPA that they posted is off by 0.05 points, while I know that is not much, we all know that every little bit counts. I wonder if I should call to check on this???

I only ask about the GPA thing, because if they go based on the GPA they entered it drops me 10 points based on the points requirements.... HMMMMM

Pink777: thanks for calling- that is definitely reassuring!

kldepp08:I would call on your GPA... 10 points is a big difference! Did you have any transfer classes? I know I had an English class transferred and it appeared as a "T" on my degree evaluation. When I talked to advising they said the nursing department would look into the transfer letter grade to adjust my GPA. I'm waiting to see if that's true or not...

I still haven't had a degree evaluation pulled or applications status change! I think I need to stop checking- it's driving me crazy!

I would check on the GPA as well. Just remember that your prerequisites GPA may be different from you overall GPA. The prerequisites GPA consists of grades from from BIOL 1010 (Anatomy), BIOL 1020 (Physiology), HEAL 1060 (Dosage), HEAL 1000 (Intro to Health), BIOL 2210 (Microbiology), and ENGL 1010 (English).

Thank you both for your reply. My prerequisite GPA is different than my overall, but it is my prereq one (on my degree eval posted as program GPA) that they have the different one posted. I did have a transfer from English, but like I said what is posted on my eval conflicts with what they entered. UGH, too much stress!! I will call tomorrow. Do any of you know if I call admissions or do I need to speak with someone in the nursing Dept?

I vow not to look at degree evaluations or my application. I'm making myself sick. Mine hasn't been done yet, I applied in Providence. What campuses are the degree evaluation being ran at??? That way I can drive myself even crazier. lol

I'm sick of good things come to those who wait, I want good things to come to people who work their butts off.

Pink777,

I applied to Lincoln nights, I haven't heard about if Providence has pulled any evals. I agree that this is becoming an obsession of mine too, I just keep checking everything for any little change! I am also with you about "good things coming to those who work their butts off" I have worked very hard to get good grades ect for the points all while working full time and being a single mom.... I'm tired, but just keep telling myself it will be worth it in the end!

Good luck!!

I take my hat off to all of you who have worked so hard to get to this point. Some of us had unimaginable challenges. I just turned 40 and had no time to waste so I basically have had no social life for the past 18 + months! I am sure it will all pay off in the end. Look forward to seeing you in Lincoln kldepp08 :)

Same situation, single, working school mom. Good luck to us all. :)

No I didnt retake any classes to reaply im praying I get in .hey i been going to school for 7 yrs part time its crazy but I am also a single mom and could only take 2 classes or 1. They did pull mine friday I ended up being forced to choose one so I applied for days . I have a transfered english class of course my english with the lowest grade :(

When I feel like giving up I remember being sick prego in class , my dad had cancer and I got an -A in anatomy still , a lot of sacrifices not just mine but my families and time away from my son I wont give up !!! We can do it :)

They ran my evaluation around 5 today again , and started to put my grades in .
