CCRI February 2016 Nursing Applicants...

Published

Hi, I'm applying this February 2016 for the nursing program, who's with me?

LynnNelli they still have to take those classes to move on to the next nursing level. Only class not required is dosage and calc. So basically all of us that have taken them are going to be better off

It's weird how they are doing it now. I heard ppl say the program was hard enough before but now ppl have to take those classes while in nursing classes... Whoa

Yeah I know which I personally feel that having to take extra classes may make it tougher to do well in the program so idk. I might start looking at other options..

No idea how you could complete micro and phys while in the program- glad I did both and glad I have done dosage and intro to health as well- we will be ahead of the game

Can you do maybe micro over the summer

I know I'm gonna be a hot mess tomorrow. Probably won't get any work done. Smh... Oh well lol

That is what I'm planning to do (take Micro over the summer)... they have an evening class at the Lincoln campus in the summer. I took Physio last summer right before they removed it from the pre-req list :banghead: wah-wah... but like others have said, at least that's one less class I'll have to take later. Fingers crossed for everyone, we may find out around this time tomorrow!

I am off tomorrow and I need to find something to do til 3:30 lol

Double matinees?? hehe.

I think most people (if they are smart) will be currently enrolled in physiology and will have it completed before entering the program. I'm planning on taking Micro over the summer, and am also in dosage now as well. Even though it's not needed, I've heard having taken dosage will put you ahead when you go to take pharmacology the first semester. I know it seems unfair that a lot of people had already completed all prerequisites before the new requirements, but I'm honestly thrilled they've changed them. No one wants to wait 2 years just to BEGIN their associates- it was completely impractical. Interested to see how the new program works though, and will be crossing my fingers all day tomorrow. Good luck everyone, and I'm always up for study groups in case any of us are in together!

If you did physio in the summer then micro in the summer will be a breeze. In my opinion lol! Micro is actually more fun because it's a bit hands on. Still a lot to study but not as crazy as physio I thought.

I thought physiology was the hardest.
