CCRi Fall 2017 nursing program

Published

Hello! I am applying today to the nursing program with 192 points. this is going to be a long and stressful wait! Anyone else nervous and excited?

Class times are available for view only under nursing 1 the 3 we are required to take we will be nursing 1010 Pharmacology 1 and gerontological Nursing. I herd we won't find out our clinical times until a week before school

A girl I know suggested taking dosage over the summer even though it's not required to help with the compency exam you have to score an 85 on and there's only 40 questions so there not a lot of room for error didn't know if anyone eles was considering taking dosage she said if you score under an 85 you get put on probation and next time if u don't pass with an 85 u get kicked out I guess durning the summer we will be required to get the book clinical nursing calculations do chapters 1-9 and that's what we will be tested on in October I didn't know any of this I hope it helps !! I guess we will find it out durning orientation but if anyone wanted to get started early !! Also be prepared to purchase a 400$ tablet it's required I asked if I could use my friends who decided the program wasn't for her a couple weeks in and I got a big no on that u have to buy your own through the bookstore u can't buy it anywhere eles !! She only used it two weeks and I still can't use hers !! I like to know what I'm getting into and don't like surprises so if I find out anything eles I'll post it !! again hope this helps !! See you at orientation

I got Into providence days too!

I'm late, but I got into Lincoln evening/weekend!!

Hello folks...congrats to all!!! I too have been down this road. I am finishing my last semester this summer at Ccri. Do yourself a HUGE favor and take Dosage. I cannot believe they took it out of the prerequisite requirements. It's no joke!! People fail the math exam every semester and it's sad to see that. Good luck to all

Curious...sorry that's not descriptive enough...EXTREMELY CURIOUS as to what "point" level people got in with. Anyone feel comfortable with sharing?

I was so excited to read everyone's acceptance! I just now applied to ccri and I'm nervous and excited! I just moved here from Kentucky and I'm 33 with 3 children and work as a CNA, I wanted to ask what was the best and fastest ways for you All? I know nursing school isn't fast by any means but I dont want to spend 4 years getting an associates and some of the older comments i read was hinting at that and being on a waitlist for 2 years! How long was you all wailist time before starting the nursing program?
