CCGA Fall 2014 Hopefuls

Is anyone applying for Fall? I haven't seen anyone posting about the program at ccga. Can any alumni or current students tell me what the program is like. What was the average gpa and teas?

Do you know how long it will take for them to mail the decision letters? To know whether you have been accepted?

I called like maybe a week ago and they said they were still meeting on the BSN and they haven't even started looking at the ADN. I just want to know something ASAP! I'm so anxious

Oh okay they must have a lot of applicants for both programs. Did they tell u how many applied?

I also called today, they said the same thing.

We should know something in 4-6 wks.

Is anyone a current student at the school? I will be a commuter from savannah

Any update on CCGA? I was just down there this past weekend and was thinking of applying there myself and it doesn't seem like there are a lot of people at ccga on this forum

Hey everybody! I don't kno how much help I would be but...I recently graduated in Dec 2013 from the BSN program nd I can tell you that the ASN program is very competitive to get in. I kno when I was there most of the students had 4.0.'s. I think they have more people applying to that program than the BSN. but overall my experience there was ok and I say that because out class coming in was only the seconds graduating class of the BSN program. So it was alot of changes going on every semester nd even during the semester so it was hard to adjust. But most of the teachers there are always willing to help you just have to ask. My advice is to buy the nclex book ahead of time and use that to help you study because it breaks alot of things down. Good luck to everybody!

So how competitive is the bsn? May I ask what was your stats? If not to many apply, is the classrooms small? Last question, did you dorm or rent an apartment out there? Sorry for all the questions, I live five hours from that school so is have to move and in case GSU does not accept me, I need to broaden my school options. I don't want to waste my time being wait listed if CCGA has a "more accepting" BSN program.
