Good Luck! I attended their LPN program and loved it! I immediately went on and got my RN through Excelsior college. They have a few new teachers. For a while there they were graduating 7-12 students out of 60 so be prepared to work hard. Its a very tough program.

Thanx for responding, did u think that the program (LPN) was hard to get into? Where there alot of ppl trying to get in and did not/ also for the ADN? If you know. I know the program will be difficult but im ready for the ride. Do you think the program ADN was hard or do you think instructors did not know how to instruct as far as the low graduate numbers? Also the excelsior program how was that, was it difficult? This may be a weird question but for the excelsior program do you have to find your own clinical site for clinicals? Sorry for all the questions just a curious person!!

Thanx:D

The LPN program was easy to get into. The instructor at the Pittsborro campus is very strict but you will learn so much from her.The ADN is not difficult to get into but at least 1/2 fail out the first semester. They weed out the weak ones because they want their NCLEX score to be high. Whatever you do, if you are failing, Drop the course before you get a D or F. Its really hard to bring those failing grades up. The heard the instructors for the ADN were brutal for the ADN program but they have 2 new instructors so maybe its better. No clinicals for Excelsiot just a 3 day clinical weekend. It was tough but worth it. I now work at Wake Med and love it. Me and the girl that I sat beside in LPN school went through the Excelsior program together. We hit it off instantly and are great friend and talk all the time. She now works at Central Carolina Hospital.

Good Luck to you! If nursing is in your heart and you work hard, you will do whatever it take to succeed!
