CCC online questions...

I was curious what home school everyone picks and also what professors they have for their science courses.

Thanks!:)

I went with Pueblo CC because I was in the area when I started school.

As for teachers, you don't get to pick who you want. Thankfully, I haven't found any science teachers that were bad. Some were harder than others, but overall they were all excellent.

Thanks Sand_Dollar! I remember seeing your posts about the science courses.. you didn't have proctored exams right? Which courses did you take?

Hi Smokey2112,

I took Bio 105 (Science of Bio), Bio 201 (AP1), Bio 202 (AP2), Bio 204 (Micro), and Chem 101 (Intro to Chem). I'm currently taking Chem 102 (O/Bio Chem) and Bio 216 (Pathophysiology) this semester. All have labs, except for Patho.

None of the classes had proctored exams. They were all open book and timed. Some bio classes such as AP 1&2 and Patho have a lot of additional writing. For example, in my patho class we have a 2-4 page research paper and a couple hundred word discussion, plus substantial replies for every unit (9 units). As well as a final 5 page research paper. The hardest class so far has been Patho. 1700 pages in one semester, UGH. But, the way I look at it, its good preparation for nursing school!

Are you going to be taking all your sciences online or just a select few? I did my entire A.S. online and loved it.

WOW!! Thanks for the awesome detailed answer!!! When I made my original post...I was hoping you would chime in!:lol2: I'm going to register for AP II and Chemistry for the Spring...that's doable right? I have already taken AP I but I will prolly try to take that during the summer because I need a higher grade.. I suppose I will try to take Micro also online.. The hard thing for me is that I'm also attending Portland State University online for my Bachelor's in Criminology & Criminal Justice.. so you can't get financial aid at the same time for 2 schools.. I'm going to take the spring semester off from PSU and take the science at CCC in spring and summer..not sure what I'll do about the fall...I will possibly try to apply to a program to start in the fall.. but I might just wait because I really want to go to Truman.

Otay.. stupid question but is A.S. an associate of science degree??:uhoh3:
