Hi! I am starting this thread for those admitted to the fall 2020 CCBC RN Program. I’ve been admitted for the Evening Weekend Cohort c/o 2022.

No it says in the Health Career and Technology room. There is a direct email for the individual that handles the meetings. I'm sure if anything changes from what was in the original email they will notify us, especially since its mandatory.

Thanks. I’m with the Essex program. That’s not in my email.

Yay!! Maybe we will see each other. Are you doing to ATB option? And yeah the email was like 2 pages. It's like #3 under "please follow the directions below to accept your seat in the program" but if I get anything about it ill post it on here.

I’m in the evening weekend so not sure if we will see one another formally unless we start a study group LOL.

I’ve decided to hold off until after my first semester to apply to the ATB. I was told you can apply later as well. I want to see how I fair in the program and if I want to add an extra load. I am also workin full time.

That's a wise idea. I've gotten mixed reviews on the difficulty of the program. Some one said nursing school is more difficult than PA school, others have said they worked full time with kids and had no issues. It just depends on how quickly you want to get through it and how you handle it.

I know we have a lot going on between our normal lives, work or kids if you have any, but if you want to get a start looking into the things we'll be tackling first I know that dosage calculations are one of the first things. Check out this video on dosage calculations if you want to just get a feel for it. Once you fall behind it's hard to catch up. So why not get a little inch ahead if you have a free moment.

Great idea. Thanks!

You can reapply after a semester or two in the program.

In case any one was wondering about CPR certs during this time:

"As long as you are taking a course (Recommended from the American Heart Association) that covers the infant through the adult for CPR, choking, and use of the AED you may take the didactic part online but the skills testing portion must, as you stated, be done in person."

This was shared with me by the nursing director at the Catonsville campus
