I was also accepted to the Boyce day program, Allegheny was my first choice, I don't know anything about Boyce program.

Hi Future Class mate! Allegheny was my first choice too! What were your stats when you applied? I'm just happy to have been accepted. I've heard very good things about their program so far. I just took my seat confirmation letter to administration today to confirm it., I didn't want to screw around with mailing so I took it straight to their office. I'm very anxious to get things started on what needs to be done. They said in the acceptance letter to be expecting a packet from Boyce campus. Do you have any idea of when they will be sending it?

Well hello to you to future classmate, I don't know what you mean by stats but my gpa with bonus points is a 5.4 alot of previous nursing students recommended Allegheny campus, they say boyce is more challenging, but if that is true Im ready, nervous, anxious, but ready lol. I also took my acceptance letter to the north side today to avoid any mistakes. I don't know when to expect the package from Boyce, but I'm sure it will be soon. I'm so excited and thankful for this opportunity as I know you are, and I look forward to meeting you in person.

I think I'm going to call boyce just to see exactly when the packets will be sent. My job did my tb for me today and I'm putting in for my background check this week too. I know we need our titters so I'm going to do my research on that to get them done as soon as possible I was told everything takes weeks to get back and we have a deadline to meet so I am starting now. I look forward to meeting you at our orientation!! I'm ecstatic!!!!

Thats great your on top of things, I too am required to have background checks, TB, and Titters for my job, I just had them renewed last month- one less thing to worry about right. Please let me know what boyce says about the packets.

They will not except any backround checks that were previously done, you have to use the certifiedbackround.com platform. Your TB test will also have to be redone if it was not the 2 step. If you have not already done so start looking for healthcare provider CPR/BLS as regular CPR is not accepted.

Ok so what do you mean if its not a two step for TB? A nurse on my job give them to staff every year for requirement. And will my hospital CPR work? I am certified through UPMC I'm assuming that would be healthcare provider CPR. And as far as titters what exactly do they want because the letter is just saying a physical? And how much is it through that website for the background check? Is it legit? I was just going to go through USPS. And do you know exactly how much the books are going to run? Scrubs? And anything else we need etc @carbon86

Wait I think it is a two step because she gave it and told me to come back in 2-3 days for it to be read and signed? Am I correct?

This entire process is going to cost you a small fortune, it's best to just come to terms with that now. The two step TB is basically 1 test one week and then a second 1-3 weeks later. You HAVE to use the certified profile platform to upload all of your documents such as child abuse clearances, titers, physical forms, CPR, drivers license info, finger printing etc. It costs $129.00 but this price includes your backround check and drug screening. My books were over $1000 when you include all of the extras such as prep-u, hesi, ATI, and the tote. You are going to need at least one set of scrubs, top ($22.98) and bottom ($16.98) you really don't need the lab coat or warm up. You have to have all white tennis shoes, a watch with a second hand, a stethoscope, bandage scissors, and a pen-light.

Ok Thanks!!!! what is all included in the 129$ do I still have to go get other things done outside of 129$ fee? Do you suggest I get started on anything now until I receive my packet? I really want to get things going and not have to wait until the last minute. Thanks in advance!!
