Somebody just asked this the other day and on this forum!
Words to use in place of "old" that sound more professional are elderly or aged.
This elderly patient(82) was admitted to a hospital and catheterized (indwelling catheter).
so, what things would you be telling to her- in terms of patient education?
Read the information on the weblinks. Think about the maintenance care you would be doing with the catheter. Think about what you would do if connected to a 5 or 6 inch tube with a bag draining your urine at the end of it. How would it restrict the way you did things? Much of this is based on common sense.
