Case Western Reserve - CRNA 2020 Entry

Published

Hello everyone,

I wanted to create a thread for anyone that has applied for CWRU CRNA program this year. Patiently waiting for some news ?

Good luck to everyone that has applied!

Congratulations to everyone who got accepted! I interviewed on 9/30 and got in. My application went from NA interview to blank and then I received an offer of admission.

I made a FB group for us. Here's the link: FB CRNA 2024 class

I haven't heard back yet. However, during my interview I had a major brain hiccup-I transposed the atrioventricular valves--Info that has been ingrained in my memory since when I first took A&P 1 in high school. I truly don’t know what happened in that moment. I almost went back and corrected myself but I didn’t want to make the situation worse by stopping the flow of the interview. My hope is that they see that it was just a mistake. Did anyone else experience this?

I’ve been reading some of the posts regarding the cost of the program. While it is no doubt expensive, after reading about the extensive resources that are in place to support the research undertakings of their students, I feel like the cost is worth its weight. Then again… I may be a little biased w/regards to really valuing the resources for research, as I’m essentially seeking an academic route--I want to practice both clinically and teach in the clinical and classroom setting.

Also, congratulations to all that have received admissions offers- you rock!

I was rushing to make the group before I had to head out. I promise my math skills are much better than that ;)

Hello, congrats to everyone who has gotten it. Does anyone know if all admittance letters are sent out? Has anyone gotten a rejection letter? Still haven’t heard a thing ?

When did you interview? Not sure if that has anything to do with it

I interviewed September 19, I see someone got in from that date. So I assume maybe I’m on the waitlist. Anyone know when the deadline is to make the deposit and secure your spot for those that got in?

@amRN What does it say your status is when you log in? Deposits are due October 18

Btw is anybody as confused about these prereqs as I am? In the packet they gave us during interviews, it said the admission letter would have more information about NUND 450, a writing class, and a chem/physics class, but there isn’t any info there.

@MSNAdvocate2008 @bchampa12 I am waiting to hear from another school but I won't know until after the deadline. Are you both just paying it? Or do you hear from your other schools prior to the deposit deadline?

I already heard back and turned down my spot. The down payment is $250 and tuition is $730 per credit for a total of 90 credits. Books and electronics are about $2000 and other mandatory expenses are about $700. In total am looking at spending about 70-80K for the entire program. 1st year is didactic and distance learning so I can continue working. I have never taken student loans before for school and the idea of spending over $150K for school just really scared me deeply! Good luck to everyone, I really do wish you all well!
