CCMC Case Management Certification Passing Score

Does anybody know what is the passing score for the CCMC or Case Management Certification? I did not pass last August of this year, and when they sent me the score in October, it was only saying whether it was Proficient, Marginal, or Deficient. I am wondering what is the equivalent of those to an actual score for 180 items (30 questions are not graded). Can anybody please help, since I will be retaking it this month (December, 2016).

I would like to pass this test, I felt bad when I got the result in October which was 2 months after I took the exam in August, so I am hoping they will randomly repeat the same questions, as I remember most of the questions and think that will pass it this time.

When I called the CCM Certification office, they just told me that the score I got was 427, and the passing score is 500. I am unsure what is the equivalent of 1 item, and if I got 427, how many points do you think I really got from 150 graded items.

I hope you can give me a better explanation and description about this grading system, the lady from the CCM office said it was a Scaled Score.

I am not sure how they grade it but wish you good luck. I took the test for the first time today and passed. I used CCM practice questions by mometrix test preparation and ccm exam secrets study guide also by mometrix test preparation.

That's one of my most frequently asked questions. I copied the following from my FAQ's on my website...

Because of the need for security, multiple forms of the examination, each containing a different combination of questions, are used. The passing scores cannot be set as specific raw scores, or numbers of questions answered correctly, because some of these examination forms may be slightly easier or more difficult than others. Therefore, requiring the same raw scores to pass the different forms would not be fair to all examinees.

To ensure that all examinees demonstrate the same level of ability in order to pass the examination CCMC uses a scaled score. With the scaled score, a statistical procedure is used to adjust for any differences in the level of difficulty among examination forms. Because of this, there is no set number of questions you need to answer correctly to pass. Credit is given for each correct answer, but the weight of that credit will vary depending on the difficulty or ease of the question.

Ladies,

I literally just signed up to take the exam in April, 2017. My employer sent me 3 books to review but nothing else. The books are horrible. Seriously. I've been doing case management for years and I'm really struggling with the information. I am looking for more condensed study material. These books are ridiculously thick too. Not sounding like I'm whining, I know you're all in same boat or were.

I am a HORRIBLE test taker. I took a prep exam before my RN boards (HURST REVIEW) which was amazing and am looking for something similar. I see there is one via CCM website in Dallas, TX for 2 days. It's like $600 but that's a lot of money. If I knew it would help me pass, I'd go in a heartbeat.

I feel like I just am missing out on asking someone whom has taken the exam, what to really focus on, what books, what helped you succeed? It seems as though CCM's don't share much. I'm not asking you to "cheat" just point me in the direction of what book you feel was most helpful.

Thanks in advance!!!!

Hi...I took the CCM test just this last December and passed. I am a horrible test taker as well. Are you on FB by any chance? There is a great group called Case Managers Community....it is a wealth of information!!!!! It was my go to place. There is a book called CCM Certification Made Easy that was my main study source along with the glossary. Good luck to you!
