Carroll County CC?

Does anyone know anything about their nursing program? I need to start taking pre-reqs and am torn between CCCC and CCC. Does Carroll County CC do clinicals and good hospitals?

Are you talking about CCBC? If so, they are pretty close with their pre-reqs so I'd start at whichever one will give you in county rates. Since the competition is so stiff it wouldn't hurt to apply to both. CC docks a bit for out of county but that would be my choice far above CCBC if given a choice. Check out the MBON for their NCLEX pass rates.

Thank you so much for the info. I'm going to call and set up a meeting with an advisor at CC. I have a four year degree but want to get an AA in nursing and then at some point down the road continue on for a BS. Will a four year degree help with admissions?

I graduated from Carroll Community. There system for picking who gets into the program is based on your GPA, the grades that you get in your science classes and how many times you have had to take them. It is on a point system. I dont know if having a 4 year degree will help you any or not. The best thing to do is to get in touch with the director of the program. If you want I can send you her email address so you can email her.
