1st Attempt

Score: 94% or (294/300 after being rated against competitors)

Writing: 81% (17/21)

Math: 100%

Reading:100%

Science: N/A (Carrington doesn't test for science)

Study Time: None

Advice: have a general knowledge of each subject test, but focus on reading and writing. Math is rather simple and can be double checked with the calculator they give you if you have a decent sense of what you're doing. I know that's subjective so just for context I've taken up to pre-calculus and that's it in math, I've also taken English ! & 2. The reading and writing are difficult, really read the question and take your time. Sometimes none of the answers are the completely true or correct answer, so you have to choose the most correct answer. Go back and study the basics of grammar, just to refresh. Know how an apostrophe is used correctly and incorrectly. Don't stress. You Got this...

Feel free to post comments below! I'd love to hear others thoguhts.

Did you get in the program? When did you take the test and you mentioned that no science is required?

Hi!

I am about to take the kaplan next week. Is there anything you think I should focus on, in particular as a refresher?

Sheenamac, how did you do on your Kaplan? When do you plan on starting?

Kristine87, I actually already started the program in january! All went well luckily.

That's awesome! How is it going? Do you have any advice?

Hi! I am taking my Kaplan this Friday super nervous! have been studying reading and writing a lot since people said it was super hard, what kind of math is it??? like grade wise or what kind of problems are they!?

How did you do on the kaplan??

Easiest test I've ever taken honestly. Got a 100% ok n my first go. Though I will say, as I'm in semester 4. Dont go to Carrington, it's one of the worst educational experiences I've had due to the inept professors and disorganized courses taught via mostly YouTube. The financial support staff also attempted to take out several loans in my name without informing me because "she figured I'd need them."

That sounds really unfortunate JahrBear. Which campus did you attend?
