Carrington College LPN program

Published

Have any of you graduated as an LPN from Carrington College? I know they work under Chamberlin College. I was just wondering what your experiences have been, what you like about the program and if it is accredited for the NCLEX and job after graduation. I'm new to all of the nursing rules and regulations so I'm not really sure what is needed to be successful.

Also, I just took the HESI A2 and did really well on that for ITT tech but have recently decided to go with Carrington because there seem to be many issues with ITT tech. Anyway, for the LPN program at Carrington they say you need to pass the Compass. Just wondering if the HESI would do or if I will likely have to take another test.

Thanks!

I went through Carrington for my LPN and passed nclex with minimum questions the first time. Everyone passed the first time in my class except one there were 25 of us. As for accreditation the campuses vary. Check with your campus of interest. You will be able to take the nclex with if you attend Carrington.

Realized I only answered one of your questions. I found a job within a week after I became a LPN. The test thing I'm not sure you would have to ask someone at the school. I really enjoyed Carrington overall. My instructors were clear about what was expected and compassionate. Overall great staff when compared to my local cc and univ.
