Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) New Grad Applications?

Because they are under Carolina Healthcare System you apply through them. I recently applied and am waiting to hear back from the packet of information I sent them.

Hey all,
I know that this is probably pretty premature, but I'm graduating from UNC's ABSN program this coming May (2016) and I'm hoping to move back to Charlotte. I've been able to find information about Novant's new grad application process, but I can't seem to dig up anything about CMC's. Anyone who has applied to CMC as a new grad have any advice? I know that the application won't be up until February or so, but I'm a planner :-)

As the previous poster said, CMC is part of Carolinas Health System. Go on their website and look for the new grad posting in the career section. If it's there, apply for it. If it isn't, then you're kind of out of luck until they release the next round of new grad positions.

They have their own nursing school and those candidates usually are preferred, so apply early and make sure your resumÃ© looks good.

You can also call HR. They were very helpful when I graduated and talked me through the whole process.

Also, make sure you start applying before you graduate. The process takes a while. They like to hire you right before you graduate so they can get the corporate training out of the way while you are studying for the NCLEX. They also used to hire new grads conditionally before they passed NCLEX.

As an example, I started applying in October, graduated in December, was offered the job the week before graduation, passed the NCLEX in January, and started officially in February.
