Continuing my education is very important to me, not only for my esteem but it is my nature. It is one of the reasons that I love nursing, you are always learning new things. ( or at least, you should be.) MSN and FNP have been my goal. The autonomy has an appeal. However lately, I have been emerged back into hospital nursing, CCU/ED. Now, I am astounded that I ever left the hospital enviroment. I love it, I have missed it.. so, I am now re evaluating my plans. I am a single mom, hospital hours are easier and the prospect of a FNP program seem unsurmountable (sp?). I am investigating CCRN and have thought about taking an ACLS instructor course. So, any advice on what would make me more marketable as a nurse in these areas? Thanks in advance.
