I have a quesition: I'm in the Army Reserves// 91W/E4 my enlistment is up in a couple of months. I have been accepted to a diploma nursing program for this fall and the program is 3 years long. My goal is to obtain a direct commissioning after I graduate. Here is my question. I am wondering should I re-enlist today and continue on in the reserves or should I just not be enlisted and obtain my RN and then go back in for the direct commissioning??? My reasons for not really wanting to re-enlist today is because all the stuff going on with the war and all I don't want anything like being called up to interfer with my nursing program. I have been waiting a long time to get to this point and would hate to see it put on hold. I just want to know some of you alls opinion on what you would do if you where in my situation. All comments are greatly appreciated. :) :)

Finish the degree and then re-enlist. I don't know if your previous service will be counted when you re-enlist, but once you have the degree, you would be in a better bargining position.
Good luck!

Don't do it! don't be an officer, stay with the enlisted.
