Cardiac Unit Job Interview

Published

Hi all!

I have a job interview at this really great hospital on a PCCU. I'm a little nervous because I'm going to be interviewing w/ 3 Nurse Managers and the Patient Care Director. Then after I'm going to be shadowing a nurse on the floor for an hour. Any advice you all can offer would be so greatly appreciated. I'm just worried they may ask me cardiac questions and I might not know the answer. I've been refreshing on rhythms, ekg strips, CABGs, Swanz Caths. Anything I could think of. I just really want to impress them and land the job. I'm really charismatic and have a great personality. So I'm def going to let that shine. I'll emphasize that I'm a hard worker, team player, eager to learn, and always strive to go above and beyond for my patients ( I always remember that my patients are someone's dad, husband, or loved one and treat them how I would want my loved one to be treated). Any advice that will win me points? Thanks!
