Hello Nurses,
I'm a new RN grad with a possibility of a job in the Stress lab. I have look up information on the job description. If there's anyone who actually works in a cardiac stress lab, can you tell me exactly what you do? What information/ books will help me with increasing more knowledge. I was a LPN for three years with a cardiac background. What meds do I need to know, and more importantly what do I need to do for my patients.
Thank you all,

basically you need to know that your pts have negative troponins, if you are going to do medication stress tests you need to educate your pts as to possible side effects and know what medications they take that can interact with what you are going to give them. most stress labs have a md present for the stressing of the patient. this is a good first job for a new rn
