I am in it for a different reason in az. As long as your honest most theti e you will qualify for CANDO. now your license won't be suspended once in it. You won't even see it on there bcuz it's a confidential program. You do have to jump thru a lot of hoops. You'd have to do inpt treatment or IOP then a once a week program once that is over. I know Terros will do it for free if you lost your insurance. You also have to go to NA 2 times a week and a nurse recovery group once a week. You also have to Check in daily to see if you get drug tested that day (avg twice a month). U will have a narc restriction for one year from signing contract. Take a breath. Breathe. It sucks but it's worth it in the end. It will be difficult to work for the first four month (and really you can't until the BON says you can) but once you an ....if you can find a job it will get easier. I am in process of looking for job. That's the hardest part.

Hello Nurses!
I am in the process of entering the CANDO program in AZ. I self-reported myself for narcotic diversion. I have so many questions. I was told to go in person to the Board to get more information about the program by the Director of this program. I was told by another nurse that this is an interview where they will ask me many questions regarding my narcotic diversion. Is this true? also, is anyone familiar with who may not be eligible for this program regarding narcotic diversion? What kind of employment in the nursing field can I apply while on this program? Can you share the types of restrictions on a nursing license once I enter into this program?. I was also told by someone that if I participate in this program my license would not be suspended due to narcotic diversion, how accurate is this?
Thank you everyone!
