  1. Waited until the interview. Just a heads up, you may recieve job offers from the interveiwer, then leave the interveiw all excited but then, after checking with HR, the interveiwer rescinds the offer. That happend to me twice.
  2. Hi Captkool. I'm sorry you have to go through this. It's tough with a lot of hoops to jump through; but totally worth it if sobriety is your goal. Without exaggeration, I went through 127 interviews before I landed a job after starting CANDO/ATD. I have found that psych hospitals and dialysis are usually friendly. Most big BANNER, ABRAZO, DIGNITY, or HONOR weren't willing to hire me. I have heard that honor heath is CANDO friendly but I haven't seen anyone working for them who's in the program. I'm an open book if you have questions.
  3. RNRecovered, I don't know where you are at with your recovery or the CANDO process but this is for you if you need it but also for anyone else in the beginning of this process. It was the most scared I have ever been as I started to face my addiction. It is by far the best thing I have ever done though. I am just a few months into this process and I have had multiple job offers. I'm currently just waiting for my start date to arrive to begin working. I've found that Banner isn't really CANDO friendly though. I'm being very selective with where I work because I'm not going to threaten my sobriety. Jump into your recovery head first and completely. Good things will start happening. There are a lot of hoops to jump through but as I look back they are all put there to keep me safe. I am very thankful for CANDO and all the CANDO nurses I've met along the way. YOU WILL COME OUT OF THIS BETTER AND STRONGER.
  4. Riser1, did you find a job? I go tomorrow for my interview for entry into Cando. do you, or anyone, have any tips or suggestions?
