  1. HR...ugh. yeah, I was actually employed until HR got wind I was on CANDO (manager already knew and was fine with because she's know n me for years. HR mad the decision to terminate despite my manager wanting to keep me. no performance issue.
  2. Looking for advice on whether it's better to bring up being on the CANDO during an interview or put a brief explanation on a cover letter for full transparency. "Med/surg nurse with 10 yrs experience seeking core employment. Returning from 2 years of travel nursing. Previously 8 years with same hospital. Successfully participating in the CANDO program with no restrictions on my practice due to failed pre-employment drug screen between assignments, no issues with on the job performance. Making healthy choices and growing as a person and a nurse. I can provide a reference letter from my most recent manager who has worked with me in multiple capacities over several years."
  3. did you do a cover letter with CANDO on it or did you wait til interview to explain?
  4. Newly on CANDO in AZ. Only restriction I have is can't work more than 40/week. No other conditions for working. I need advice on CANDO friendly hospitals. All my experience is in large urban hospitals and I want to be able to keep those skills up through the program. Any help is appreciated.
