Hi, I am in a NP school with discipline on my record for a license I don't use and finishing up a non-disciplinary program in my home state. I am also in NP school about to begin clinical and I am having a difficult time securing Liability insurance and I am wondering if anyone has done this before. Or if anyone knows of a company that will provide insurance to high risk nurses. I have gone through so many hurdles and I don't want this to be the only reason I can not continue with school. Thank you.

Anyone here from AZ? I’m looking for recovery friendly jobs in AZ. Had an interview with Fresenius was not selected for the job. I emailed the recruiter and she said none of her facilities would work with me. I thought dialysis was recovery friendly? Anyone have any leads?

Paidmydues, when you surrendered your license in one state, we’re you placed on their Medicaid exclusion list from the state? Or the OIG.

I wonder why you were never put on the OIG list or your states Medicaid exclusion list. I need to find out more about that. I’m trying to do what you had done but just in different states.

Jas10. What is a temporary surrender? I am facing discipline in CA but live in AZ. I want to surrender in CA and go through ATD in AZ and have found info about OIG. Not to worried about that because they have ways to appeal it. I am worried about being placed on the states Medicaid exclusion list. Because it says if I’m on CA state exclusion list I’m excluded everywhere else in the United States.

Yes I am aware of that. But what if I self report in my home state and go through ATD in my home state. Will that protect my RN license if I voluntarily surrender it in my travel state.

Kammi were you able to surrender your license in one state and enter diversion program in your home state? I am in a similar situation

Has anyone been fired and reported while on a travel assignment. Surrender their license in that state and complete ATD program in their home state?

Like we’re you able to work during IOP? Or do they take you out of work for three months? Idk how I would pay for everything and IOP without work. Maybe I should try getting a job that requires no narcotics? Before I self report.
