Quick Overview of Candida auris
Candida auris fungus was first reported in 2016, but recently spread has dramatically increased. CDC is also stating that of the known infections, there's a 30-60% mortality rate
My question is, how concerning is this for healthcare professionals? Has anyone heard about this aside from in the news and/or possibly even have direct experience?

Quote Follow all manufacturer's directions for use of surface disinfectants, and apply the product for the correct contact time. Some products with C. albicans or fungicidal claims may not be effective against C. auris, and accumulating data indicate that products solely dependent on quaternary ammonia compounds (QACs) are NOT effective.
