Canadian RPN wanting to go to USA Associates Degree

Hi Everyone,

I was hoping someone may be able to help out with this one. I have completed my Canadian RPN Program(2.5 yr course).

I was thinking of going down to the USA with my Husband and children to get my Associates degree in nursing. I am not sure if it would be an LPN to RN Associates I would have to take.

My question is if I get an RN Associates in the US and write the NCLEX RN exam would I then meet the qualifications of a foreign nurse and be able to get a work visa to work down south. I was even thinking of doing the BSC in nursing but having a hard time getting them to evaluate my RPN credits from up here

It has been tough to get any info on this one.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
