Hi everyone,
Currently I have 1 more year to graduate as an RPN at Centennial College and once I obtain my RPN license, I'd like to continue my studies in the US, specifically Florida to bridge from RPN (or LPN) to RN. After I obtain my RN license, I want to transfer my RN license to California so I can work and live there (I plan on living in the states basically). I have already found a college in Florida that does LPN-RN bridging however I haven't done enough research into that college.
Has anyone been through an experience like this and if so, what was it like? Are there any difficulties or concerns I should have?
I also understand i need a permanent residency In order to work there and I do have family in Florida.
Advice would be appreciated
Thanks!

Moved to the Nurse Registration forum
what you need to be aware of is California is a hard state to register with even from within the US.

Do you know why is that exactly? Is it because of California's requirements or because it is a competitive state?
Thanks
It is because they are strict with their requirements. We see many nurses including Canadians posting they end up being short in certain hours that hadn’t been covered
