any canadian RN writing the TOEFL for visa screen!

I requested to have the visa screen to be able to work in the US, I graduated from an english college in Montreal, they are asking me to write the TOEFL or IELTS, isn't that weird?

Has anybody went through this?

I can only think it is because you are from Montreal and that English isn't your primary language.(not saying you don't speak English just that if English isn't primary language you have to take the exam)

thank you silverdragon, english is my primary language and I went to the same college with a friend she didn't have to write the TOEFL and she received her visascreen.

Sometimes worth speaking to ICHP about it, could be just confirming your primary language
