Hello everyone,
I'm so very new to this blog. Hoping for some advise and direction please. Or if I'm posting in the wrong category let me know.
I'm in the process of applying for my Florida Nursing License. Ive been a Canadian RN for 8 years now and I'm looking for a change however have very little knowledge of this process. So far I have applied to the Florida Nursing Board but I need to complete all the other necessary documentation. Like the finger print (Live scan), I did the online medication error 2 hour course and receive the certificate. I am just a little confused if I have to get my education evaluation? I went to university in Toronto and Received my BSCN.

Unless otherwise stated you need to get CES from CGFNS or other acceptable evaluation of your transcripts.
Ok thanks. It's going to cost between $300 to $400 depending on where I get my evaluation done. This is a tedious process. But I'm very motivate so I will take my time and get it done. Anymore advise is always appreciated. Thanks!

Hello Shay,

I'm not sure how it applies to you now that Canadian NCLEX is overseen by NCSBN, I believe that you are at least exempt from language proficiency exams which is a very very good thing.
Good hunting!
