Hi everyone! I was interested in doing my masters in nursing in the US.
Does anybody know of schools that accept RN Canadian/ontario licenses as a requirement of the program? As some schools only accept american RN licenses.
thank you very much!

Welcome to allnurses!
As a rule, US Master's degrees require a US license because of the clinical/practicum component of the program. I guess the question would be what type of Master's program are you interested in attending? Advanced Practice Nursing Master's will require a US RN license because your clinicals will be done in US healthcare settings where you must be a licensed RN in the state of jurisdiction where the facilities are located in. Graduate degrees with a business, leadership, and education foci may be more flexible in allowing you to have practica in Canada as long as a way to monitor your progress by faculty is feasible.

Agree - depends what you want your masters in. If it's education or something you're probably okay. If it's a clinical masters like nurse practitioner or CNS, you'd need a local license.

Check the admission criteria for D'youville College in Buffalo, they have had Ontario licensed nurses in their graduate programs in the past.
