Can someone tell me what a HAMS unit is?

Hi. I am a nursing student with a homework assignment that refers to a patient being admitted to a HAMS unit for a GI bleed. I can't seem to find what a HAMS unit is. Will someone tell me what HAMS stands for and briefly explain what happens in the HAMS unit? Thanks for any help!
