I am glad that I found this forum! I am from Italy. Recently I got a job in US which is not for health care but normal r&d scientist. I am a Hep B carrier with HBeAg-Positive. They will let me take a medical test before I can work. I wonder if they will check Hep B and if they find that I am a carrier with HBeAg-Positive whether they let others know or withdraw my offer. I feel so bad with this. It is like the world becomes dark for me. Please help me!

Here in the US they usually will test for Hepatitis and run what is called a Hepatitis profile with no or limited patient contact it should not be an issue. Maybe the following links will help. As for the specifics......I honestly don't know but here in the US it is illegal to discriminate for health reasons. It will probably best answered from the employer. Are the any health screenings and vaccinations that you are required for immigration? I wish you the best!

As long as you are not "active" you can work as far as I know.
Do you think one with these three positive HBsAg, HBeAg, HBcAb positive but ALT is normal which is called as carrier but is worse than a normal carrier can work or not?
Thanks a million!
Thanks a million! However, I still feel so not confident to do the test which I do not know what will be included.
If they know that I have this, I do not know if they will let others know or something like that or withdraw my offer.
