Can a PCT work in Labor & Delivery?

I live in Georgia, the metro Atlanta area. I will be taking a CNA/PCT course soon & was wondering if I would be able to work in a hospital in Labor & Delivery dept. as a Patient Care Tech?

We don't have them in the labor and delivery side where I work. But they do have them in the mother/baby side

I wanted to go into this department too, before my CNA course ended ,but I was told that they don't allow CNAs there anymore.
