Can a NP own a med spa?

I am getting ready to start nursing school and I am looking at all of my options. I was wondering if a NP can own and opperate a Med Spa, or do you have to have M.D. supervision? Thank you for your help.

Yes, NP's can own a MedSpa and those that do...do very well. NP's can own all sorts of businesses.

As far as MD supervision...depends on your state laws.

It may help to contact your state board of nursing. The type of procedures that you would be qualified to do and the type of MD supervision you would need is going to vary from state to state.
