Can LVN be MDS with less than 1 year work experience

Hello I a new LVN grad and I have worked in a facility almost 9 months.... I have been offered a position as MDS. Any one has any words of advice if I should take on this position...Does it make a difference the years of experience....

Any comments of advice greatly appreciated!!!

Congrats-I expect they will give you excellent training since MDS is so important .We have very little face to face interaction with ours now-everything is computerized .Occ. they will ask us for a clarification if they find some conflicting info in our documentation but other then that we only see them at team meetings.In the past I have worked with a few who picked up on things with residents that we on the floor missed-not sure if someone with little floor experience would pick up on that kind of stuff.I'm curious to see what others say.
