Can an LPN work in NICU

Specialties NICU

Updated:   Published

I currently live in Orlando, FL and I will start LPN school in May or August. I would love more than anything to work in NICU. I was a NICU baby myself and I want to be a part of taking care of these babies. I can't go back for my RN right now.

If anyone has any suggestions as to what I can do as an LPN that will be close to NICU or working with these tiny babies, please let me know. I want this so much.

Hey, I also live in Orlando and will be starting LPN school next year. Winnie Palmer just posted a job for LPN in Neonatal level 3 (dealing w/ moderately ill infants).

Specializes in Palliative Care, NICU/NNP.

If there's anyway you can get your RN please do. If you end up really liking NICU your opportunities will be very limited as an LVN.
