I will have my prerequisites done in May but I'll be moving to Virginia from Indiana with my husband. Is it difficult to get into a nursing program at a different school after completing prereq's at another school? My GPA is 3.76 right now :banghead:

I feel it would depend on whether you're looking to complete a 2 or 4 year program. Once you've done some of your pre-reqs, you should be able to finish them at another school once you transfer before applying and getting into a nursing program. Transferring official nursing classes is almost unheard of and I'd wait to get into a program after moving if you like. All nursing schools are competitive and have their own standards, which is why transferring is not common. I would talk to an advisor. :)

Where were you thinking of applying to?

I know Radford University's nursing program accepts transfers, and two of them are actually in my clinical group.

Here's a link to the application process:

Maybe it'll help?

Of course, it will all depend on the school you choose to attend. Talk to an admission officer from the school you're interested in and see what's required and what you'll need to do.

Good luck! :]
