Can I take pre-nursing courses again?

Published

I have a problem, my gpa was 3.11 at the end of summer 2009. But my fall 2009 semester i did it bad because of some problems that I had that got me into depression. So, right now I have 2.75 and working hard for this semester so I can get at least 2.90, and maybe take summer courses. I just received a letter from my university that they will move all pre-nursing student that have gpa below than 3.0 gpa to an undecided major. This really make feel bad, what I can do. So, my question is this, can I take pre-nursing courses all over again in other to improved my changes to enter in the BSN program?

This totally depends upon your school and the nursing program. I just found out recently that the school I was attending does not allow repetition of courses where a C was earned. Different schools have different policies and different nursing programs have different policies on how the GPA is calculated after a repetition, if the repetition is allowed. You need to look into this before attempting to take action. Good luck.

check with your school because the one I applied at does not allow you to apply to their program if you repeated courses (not all the courses but the core such as the science and math classes)..So sometimes taking a class over can sometimes hurt instead of help.
