Hi, I took the Cali RN examination on 10/28/2013, but failed. if I apply the exam again, should I also submit the transcript and other documents? Or only pay $150 to BON, and schedule the exam time?

Thx

You'll need to make sure that you're application is still considered current and not "abandoned." I would suspect that as long as your application is current, you should simply pay the BRN their retesting fee (if needed) and the appropriate fee to Pearson Vue for testing as well. The process to retake the NCLEX should be on the BRN's website.

Thanks for ur quick reply!

how to judge my application is current or not?

Last year's performance report says,"your application will be considered abandoned and your file destroyed if you dont take the examination within 2 years from the date of your last examination".

Does it mean my application "not abandoned"?

Since you apparently have taken the NCLEX about 14 months ago, which is less than 2 years ago, it appears that you have not "abandoned" your application. The process by which you may retake the NCLEX should be fairly simple as you likely aren't having to submit an entirely new application for licensure.

Suggest contacting the BRN and ask them but if they stated 2 years and you are within the 2 years then you should just submit any fees the BRN require and then pay pearsonvue
