Unless you qualify for a H1b visa which you must hold a Bachelors degree with several years experience in a specialized field along with extra certifications as a nurse to qualify. Do you have family here who can petition you? I believe you have to be under a certain age and possibly unmarried. If you have a fiance who's a US citizen then he can petition you, which still takes some time, but at least it isn't as long. If you don't have any of these then you're going to be waiting a long time for a visa. There are people who have been waiting over 5 years for a visa. Just an FYI

Still single.. and im 25 years old. as far as i know they cant file a petition for a 25 year old relative. I dont have any kind of visa yet and dont have a fiance there.. too bad I might wait too long to get there
Are you presently working as a RN in your home country? If so, keep working as a RN and get your paperwork going and all the necessary exams and verfications that you need to take and just wait. Your other option is to try another country while you're waiting. The process can still be long but not as long as here in the US. Good Luck

hi I passed the nclex-rn for california.and the Ielts. Many employers require nurses to have visa screen certification. How can I apply for that? Do I really need to take the CGFNS exam?
