Can GN's negotiate on salary?

Just wondering if it's possible to negotiate a bit when you're a brand new nurse. Offered a job making more money, but not really where i want to be. place i want to be is significantly less. any suggestions??

I am a new grad and was able to successfully negotiate a higher salary. I have been a 911 operator for the past 12 years and argued that it was that work experience that taught me time management and to prioritize and reevaluate situations. They gave me a starting salary of a nurse with 6 years of experience. I wasn't sure if it would work but wouldn't hurt to ask as it turns out it really did benefit me.
