Can English 113/114 replace the required Eng 112?

Hello, all! I am a pre-nursing student preparing to apply to my school's nursing program in the fall. I was wondering if taking the English 113 or 114 could possibly take the place of the pre requisite of English 112? I have "registered" for 112 too many times according to my institution, so I am trying to assess all my options - should I take 113 or 114 in its place, or am I better off seeking a 112 course through another school? Does anyone have experience with this? Any insight would be very much appreciated. Thanks!

I am currently completing my last semester of pre-Reqs at Wake Tech Comm College in NC. I have requested advice from my advisor, who assured me that 113 or 114 WOULD indeed suffice for 112, but they have advised me poorly in the past. I want to make certain that I would not be wasting my time, as one class could be all the difference between getting in or not getting into the program! As I'm sure most of you already know ;)

Welcome to AN! This is a question you will need to address directly with the school as each school is different. Try contacting the admissions office or speak to an admissions advisor for clarification.

Ask the nursing department by email if possible.
