Hello I wanted to know if anyone knows this. If you have signed a contract however the start date is a month away can it be cancelled? If after the contract is signed and your collaborative physician stated you work all holidays? I know my weekend is a rotation, however didn't expect all holidays.

If that was in the contract and you signed it, then you agreed to it even if you didnt "know" it. Basically, you are asking if you can break a written contract. Short answer -yes, but with consequences. Read the contract to find out what they are because there is no way to know what will happen otherwise. They may fine you a large fee and you will be legally indebted.

Are you saying that the physician told you that you must work all holidays after you signed the contract? Or was this stated in the contract and you only noticed it after you had already signed it? Also, what do you mean by "my weekend is a rotation"?

As you may know, people negotiate all sorts of things in their contracts so they're not all the same. As the previous poster wrote, you have to go through the contract and see what the language says about penalties for breaking it.
