Can anyone in San Antonio tell me about the market for ADN nurses?

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

I just completed my first semester of college, and for financial reasons, I'm contemplating switching to an ADN program then doing an RN to BSN program once I get a job. So my question is how likely will i be able to get a job with an ADN here in San Antonio?

I don't live in San Antonio but I am going back and forth between going for my bsn or adn, I look at nursing jobs and see if they will consider an Adn. A lot of smaller hospitals usually don't have a problem with it, but a lot of the larger ones are now requirering a bsn. Btw I'm in Houston. But look on indeed or monster and see what the requirements are for positions you might be interested in and see if they require a bsn.

Most of the job listings here say BSN highly preferred. If you want to do the ADN route, you might be better off going to Baptist, I think they hire their new grads often - they also have the RN-BSN program online. Where are you going now and where do you plan to go to nursing school? I'm at UT and since it's a state school, the tuition isn't bad at all.
