Medstar pay is better than Hopkins or UMMC. The acuity is also very high. Medstar is the most capable hospital in DC. Convenient and free on-campus parking for staff nurses. Connected garage parking free on weekends and nights. Culture and staff are great. Not sure how it compares to other hospitals in the area though. No glaring red flags. Medstar is unionized which I really like. Also, when I looked into working at UMMC or Hopkins, I was fairly concerned about safety walking from parking decks to the hospital. I feel very safe at Medstar and have zero concerns about safety there. I recommend the hospital in general.

Good evening everyone,
I am in the process of job hunting, as an experienced RN of 30 years in the Baltimore/DC area.
Can anyone give me input on Lifebridge and Medstar in regards to culture, staff treatment, etc?
I know Hopkins and University of Maryland are the "big dogs" around here, but these two systems currently have some really interesting job opportunities.
