Calm My Test Anxiety?!

Published

Tomorrow I have my final practical for my A&PII class - it's been a 10 week class over the summer. Lab is worth 40% of my total grade, with this practical being worth 10% of that. As of right now, I have an 89% in Lab. Lecture is also worth 60% of the total grade, and we have out final on Monday (I'm not too worried for it, mostly the practical) I currently have a 102% in the class thanks to extra credit.

I'm freaking out about the practical - I've been studying my butt off, but the microscopes always throw me, which are a majority of the questions. I look up samples online, but they always look so different in class.

Oh - the real kicker is that I have been accepted, and have a spot in a nursing program beginning this fall, but my acceptance is contingent on passing A&PII with a B or better.

Sorry I'm whining, just felt good to vent.

Ok, sit down and figure out the minimum grade you can get in everything left to get the b you need... Are your lab and lecture combined for a single final grade, or are they two separate grades?

I've been working on that! The two grades are combined into one final grade as well.

Well, with a 102 and an 89, I would venture to guess you could get a significantly low grade on your lab and be able to maintain a B. I worked my butt off in micro to keep my grade up high enough that I wouldn't have to be crazy stressed on the final. It really helps. I would have had to get a 60% on my final to lose my A in the class, so I didn't even have to study for the final bc I had studied regularly during class. I just reviewed notes a bit. I wasn't worried bc I knew I could get better than 60 without studying. Your grade is very high. You should be in a similar boat.

So I just took the practical. And it was tough. The microscopes were really what got me. Now, it's a waiting game for the scores. I will update when I get it back.
