Calling all Former Columbia University ETP/MDE Students

Hello to whoever is reading this!

I am a current applicant to Columbia's MDE program. I am a NY native hoping to work in NYC or Long Island after I graduate from nursing school.

I have read on allnurses many times that the ivy league name of your nursing alma mater really makes no difference when applying to nursing jobs. I want to know if you felt this was true coming from Columbia SON.

Did you find you had a difficult time finding a job after graduation? Do any of you work at NYP now because of the connections you made during school? Are any of you still looking for work? I'm just curious to know if Columbia gave you an advantage because of its prestige in the industry.
