Hi everyone. I'm new here. I am a recent biology grad, and I am trying to apply to a couple of accelerated bsn programs. I have written my personal statement (AT LAST!), and I spent alot of time on it. I really want to do this program. Is there anyone out there who is willing to read my personal statement and give me any pointers? Thanks alot!

Well I am the last one you want to read it because I cannot spell worth a lick. But the advice my sister-in-law's mom (retired AP English teacher) gave me was to: "Be concise. If you can say something in 3 words, don't use 5."
If you still want some eyes to look it over, PM me.
What schools are you applying to?
I stressed about mine for a good two weeks before turning. The advisors at the school said, don't have any mistakes because this is the only evaluation of your writing abilities we get. I go for the interview and the woman asks me if I turned it in. She said she did not even read it yet! I doubt they even read it. All that stress for nothing :rotfl:
I'm trying to apply to the Johns Hopkins 13.5 mo. program, and Columbia ETP. I would rather do ETP because I am dying to do nurse anesthesia, but if I don't get in, I'm okay with pursuing this career after receiving an ABSN and working for a while.
Good Luck! With the ETP program do you have to work a year before starting the CRNA program?
I think the work experience is built within the program in the form of a residency.
